BACtrack C8 is a great breathalyzer product. With its police grade accuracy, it allows you to determine whether to drive, or even if you should go to work the next day. I have already recommended this product to at least 30 people. My only wish is if there was a way to recalibrate the device without sending it away. Apart from that, it's 5 stars

Definitely worth every penny!

Being diabetic, I still enjoy a drink here and there. It's good to check both my blood sugar and alcohol concentration to make sure I'm within legal limits. This item is d.o.t. approved according to the description. It's already paid off, one time I tested below the legal limit but didn't feel right so I checked my blood sugar and it turned out I was low. Needless to say, a candy bar later I was feeling fine. I then waited an hour and went home safe. Worth it to me.

I bring this thing with me every time my friends and I go out to some bars. Works very well. The test results seem spot on and consistent. I always do 2 blows back to back to make sure they're similar. Just remember to follow the 20 minute rule before using. Interesting to use & keep track

Fun to use with group of friends to verify where you are via how you think you're doing. Sometimes it gives off drastically different reading than makes sense even after the 20 minutes of no eating/drinking.

Trustworthy but too hard to get a valid reading

It stands out well above the cheaper brands and gives reliable readings when checked against other meters.However it is very hard to get a reading and one needs to try over again up to six times to avoid a "FLO" error message and get a valid reading. Battery life appears to be good.

Rock solid and accurate

I had a hard time deciding between the BACtrack Element and other similar BACtrack breathalyzers. In the end, I chose the Element for its great reviews, cost, and the fact that it uses the same technology as other high-end BACtrack breathalizers. I like the minimalist design and rock solid feel. This device feels like a quality heavy duty breathalyzer that's made to last. And, most importantly, the results are so accurate and consistent. Like other breathalyzers using the same technology, it will need to be returned to BACtrack each year or so for calibration. I haven't yet needed to do this so I can't comment on it. Just be aware that it will eventually be necessary to keep it accurate.
